These Heroes are either in Medical care or Rehab for Behavioral or Trauma issues. When we break out a hero from the Shelter, very little is known and without getting a full vet exam, we can't forecast what medical or behavioral issues we will need to treat.
No matter the case, our squad places them in the care of experienced foster families that will patiently and lovingly nurture and instill trust and safety into their rehabilitation and healing.
Our Medical Heroes have health ailments that require short or long-term medical treatment. Epilepsy, Collapsed Tracheas, severe Arthritis, Skin Issues, and Ear/Respiratory Challenges. They require regular Vet visits, after-care treatment, and medicine to be administered every day.
Our Behavioral Heroes have scars that can't be seen on the surface. Many have endured abuse, horrific living conditions, are feral, have been used as bait dogs, or have been let down or mistreated by humans. We have to go at their pace and with love and patience, we strive to make progress every day.
Behavioral Rehab requires special equipment/gear, calming oils, sessions with a professional trainer (once they are ready), and whatever it takes to help them rehabilitate to a state where they are able to transition into their forever home.
Our Rehab Heroes are Available to Adopt. It takes a special Heart to adopt a Rehab Hero and continue to nurture them and pick up where we left off. Illness aside, and behavioral issues aside, they still love us unconditionally, even through their fears and challenges. Love always wins!
Your donation helps us meet their ongoing medical needs and supply them with the necessary tools to assist them in their rehabilitation.

Our sweet Hero Joanne is hospitalized fighting for her life! We didn’t have a chance to prepare financially as this was an unexpected situation. She is fighting Strep Zoo which she caught at the shelter we saved her from. This can potentially close our doors and disable us from continuing our rescue efforts. Any amount helps! Thank you!
